High altitude vineyards, desert-like climate and natural irrigation from Andean snow melt create the perfect conditions to produce world-class grapes. Today its emphasis is on fruit purity, expression of terroir, quality and environmental sustainability awareness and the production of organic vines.

The winery itself was built in 1970 and designed by ‘Chicho’ Pitela. The Mediterranean style structure offers views of the surrounding vineyards, olive trees and overlooking the Andes mountains in the distance. Located in Cruz de Piedra, it is in the historic heart of wine production in the traditional Mendoza wine region.
Bodega Argento proudly holds the title of Mendoza’s largest organic producer, with over 305ha of vineyards certified organic, a figure which should rise to 435ha by 2021.
