Domäne Wachau

Domäne Wachau represents over 300 years of winery history coupled with continuous innovation.

The winery is situated in the small picturesque village Dürnstein in the Wachau Valley in Austria. The Wachau is one of Europe’s oldest cultural landscapes, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Austria’s most prestigious wine region. Domäne Wachau is led by winery director and Master of Wine Roman Horvath and winemaker Heinz Frischengruber. It is one of the leading wine producers in Austria and beyond its borders.

The Wachau offers perfect conditions and unique terroir for growing outstanding white wines. The extremely cool, marginal climate is influenced by the Danube River and imbues wines with elegance and finesse. Domäne Wachau’s environmentally friendly, sustainable approach in the vineyards, steep terraced hillsides and old vines are the foundation for structured and vibrant cool-climate Grüner Veltliner and Riesling.
