The history of the Ricossa family begins in the late 1800s, on the outskirts of Asti in the region of Piemonte. Here they founded a renowned distillery which soon became a flagship of the
region. We carry on this Italian tradition today with the production of award-winning wines, recognized worldwide, such as Barolo, Barbaresco and Gavi. All our grapes are grown and harvested throughout Piemonte, where the terroir is unique. In fact, in 2014, UNESCO declared the Langhe, Roero, & Monferrato areas as World Heritage Sites.
The estate is in the village of Castel Boglione located in the alto Monferrato area, halfway between the town of Acqui Terme and Nizza Monferrato. The property consists of 80 Ha of which 74 are dedicated to vine cultivation. The winery was built in 2004, at the middle of the estate, surrounded by the vineyards.
