Established in the 15th century, the Chateau is one of the oldest wine producing estates in the appellation and was owned by the same family that founded Haut-Brion. The Estate's 35 hectares of vines are planted with 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot situated on a gravel, clay and limestone soil. Chateau de Pez produces wines with a wonderful tannic structure, long finish and great aging potential.
