Originally known as Bellingchamp (which translates to ‘pretty fields’), Bellingham traces its roots to 1693 when Hollander Gerrt Janz van Vuuren and his French Huguenot wife planted the first 1000 vines on the estate. Ownership changed to the Podlashuk’s in 1943.
They enjoyed the lifestyle of the Cape with a passion for their garden and lavish parties. Fresh, fruity and juicy with well-balanced varietal character, the Pear Tree Chenin blanc and Big Oak Tree Shiraz capture those special moments enjoyed in the outdoors with family and friends.
